After natural gas is processed, compressed and metered, it is injected into the underground gas storage facility.
Application
During gas production, the extracted gas is subsequently heated, choked, dehydrated, filtered, and metered before being delivered into the pipeline system.
In a typical surface processing train the sequence is: Wellhead → Separation → Treating → Metering → Pipeline.
