Pressure Regulating System
Pressure Regulating System is a gas pressure control device widely used in natural gas long- distance pipeline compressor and transmission stations as well as city gate stations.
Application
It typically consists of asequence of “safety shut-off valve + monitor regulator + activity control valve” connected from upstream to downstream, and the entire system adopts a modular design.
In a typical pipeline station the sequence is: Station inlet → Filtration → Regulation → Metering → Station outlet.
Scope of supply
- Under normal operating conditions, both the safety shut-off valve and the monitor regulator remain fully open, while the activity control valve the downstream outlet pressure.
- If the activity control valve fails and cannot maintain the downstream outlet pressure, the monitor regulator automatically takes over the pressure control function.
- If the monitor regulator also fails, the safety shut-off valve closes rapidly to cut off the gas flow, ensuring the overall safety and protection of the system.

- And the activity control valve can be chosen regulator and electrical / pneumatic control valve.
